Thank you for visiting our website! We are often changing information about the exciting and busy life you will find at Wright City UMC so we hope you will visit us often.
We are a small church in a rural setting but we have so much going on in the life of our church family. Prayerfully, you will come join us for any and all of our services, learning opportunities, and special events as we grow both spiritually and in numbers. Our church is 100 years old but our congregation ranges from newborn through adult. You will find the average age of our congregation is 35 years old, but there is something going on for eveyone! Having celebrated our 100th Anniversary, we are moving foward with excitement and vision!
This is the season of the Church Year when we hear the stories of Jesus - his stories, the parables. We recognize that as followers of Jesus Christ we have a job description which includes inviting others into fellowship and relationship with the Lord, to be in ministry wherever there is a need, and to grow as disciples of the living Lord. At this season of the life of Wright City UMC, it's inspiring to see such growth and excitment going on! There is something for everyone and you are welcome.
Here you will find information concerning our church and its ministries. We hope you find your time spent here a blessing. Wright City United Methodist Church is a warm and loving church, and we want you to feel comfortable and at liberty to call on us for anything you need. Fundraiser for the New
Ministry Center
If you would like to participate in a Mystery Quilt project, please contact Pastor Linda at 580-743-5580 as soon as possible. This is a 6-part queen size quilt project created by Lisa Moore, a professional fabric and quilt designer. We meet the first and third Tuesdays of the month through May, at 5 pm at Valliant UMC. There is no charge for the event other than what each participant wants to put into materials.
Bishop Hayes offers a fresh new message about our going forward into the world as disciples of Jesus Christ. Spend a moment with the Bishop as he teaches and offers a prayer for us. You can hear this message by clicking on our Links tab.
